Apple TV+’s Critically Acclaimed Anthology Series Returns In December

If you don’t know Apple TV+’s “Little America” yet—nominated by BAFTA, Independent Spirit, NAACP Image, and GLAAD Media Award for many accolades— there are plenty of reasons why you should. First and foremost, all the talent involved. The series was created by Emmy Award nominee Lee Eisenberg (“WeCrashed,” “The Office”) and Academy Award winner Siân Heder (“CODA,” “Orange is The New Black”), “Little America” also comes from the creators that brought you “The Big Sick” (Kumail Nanjiani and Emily V. Jordan) and “Master of None” (Alan Yang) as well, on board as producers.
An anthology series, “Little America” observes the funny, romantic, heartfelt, inspiring, and surprising stories of immigrants in America and stars familiar names, including Phylicia Rashad, Alan S. Kim, and Ki Hong Lee. “Little America” follows in the footsteps of its first season (which is available to watch on Apple TV+), as it continues to paint intimate and heartwarming portraits inspired by real stories celebrating immigrants from around the world (Sri Lanka, Somalia, Korea, Japan, El Salvador and more) who are all pursuing their own version of the American dream. The series also made our list of The 25 Best TV Shows & Mini-Series Of 2020.
Following the critically acclaimed premiere season (95% certified fresh Rotten Tomatoes score), the highly anticipated second installment of “Little America” will arrive next month. Its freshman season run will return with eight brand new, inspiring stories on Friday, December 9, on Apple TV+.
To go along with the date announcement, Apple TV+ unveiled the trailer for season two of its celebrated series.
“Little America” is influenced by true stories featured in Vox Media’s Epic Magazine and aims to share and celebrate the funny, romantic, heartfelt, inspiring, and surprising stories of immigrants from all over the world living in America. Inspired by real stories of immigrants from around the world who are pursuing their American dream, the highly anticipated second season of “Little America” will feature performances from Phylicia Rashad, Alan S. Kim, Ki Hong Lee, and more.
