Apple TV+ already debuted one dystopian series this year with “Extrapolations.” Now it’s ready to premiere another one, although this one adapts Hugh Howey‘s best-selling trilogy of novels. That’s right, “Silo” brings Howey’s post-apocalyptic series to the small screen, with Rebecca Ferguson leading a loaded ensemble cast.

Here’s the official synopsis for “Silo,” courtesy of Apple TV+:
“Silo” is the story of the last ten thousand people on earth, their mile-deep home protecting them from the toxic and deadly world outside. However, no one knows when or why the silo was built and any who try to find out face fatal consequences. Ferguson stars as Juliette, an engineer, who seeks answers about a loved one’s murder and tumbles onto a mystery that goes far deeper than she could have ever imagined, leading her to discover that if the lies don’t kill you, the truth will.
Alongside Ferguson, “Silo” also stars Common, Harriet Walter, Chinaza Uche, Avi Nash, David Oyelowo, Rashida Jones, and Tim Robbins.  
“Band Of Brothers” and “Justified” screenwriter Graham Yost creates “Silo” and as serves as showrunner. “Defending Jacob” director Morten Tyldum helms the show’s first three episodes. Yost, Howey, Tyldum, and Ferguson serve as executive producers on the series alongside Nina Jack, Fred Golan, Rémi Aubuchon, and Ingrid Escajeda.  
“Silo” premieres on Apple TV+ with its first two episodes on May 5. After that, new episodes premiere weekly through June 30 for its ten-episode run. Watch a trailer for the series below.
