Apple TV+’s Emmy-Winning Comedy Series Returns In March
Feb 27, 2023
We’ve said it a million times by now, but no one ever expected the biggest Apple TV+ hit to come from the streamer’s first few years would be a feel-good comedy based on a series of NBC commercials starring a former ‘SNL’ star. And yet, here we are with “Ted Lasso,” a highly acclaimed show that has won a ton of awards and is set to debut its third (and possibly final) season.

As seen in the trailer for Season 3 of “Ted Lasso,” the series picks up where Season 2 left off, with Nate having left AFC Richmond for the chance to coach his own team. He’s also taken to wearing black suits and looking very villainous. But as for the rest of the plot, we’re not sure what to expect, as the trailer just does a good job of presenting the positive, fun vibe of “Ted Lasso” without much in the way of dialogue or plot points.

The series sees the return of actors Jason Sudeikis, Brett Goldstein, Nick Mohammed, Juno Temple, Hannah Waddingham, and Brendan Hunt.
“Ted Lasso” Season 3 debuts on Apple TV+ on March 15. You can watch the trailer below.
Here’s the synopsis:
In the third season of Ted Lasso, the newly-promoted AFC Richmond faces ridicule as media predictions widely peg them to finish last in the Premier League and Nate (Nick Mohammed), now hailed as the “wonder kid,” has gone to work for Rupert (Anthony Head) at West Ham United. In the wake of Nate’s contentious departure from Richmond, Roy Kent (Brett Goldstein) steps up as assistant coach, alongside Beard (Brendan Hunt). Meanwhile, while Ted (Jason Sudeikis) deals with pressures at work, he continues to wrestle with his own personal issues back home, Rebecca (Hannah Waddingham) is focused on defeating Rupert and Keeley (Juno Temple) navigates being the boss of her own PR agency. Things seem to be falling apart both on and off the pitch, but Team Lasso is set to give it their best shot anyway.
