In “The Morning Show” season three, the future of the network is thrown into question and loyalties are pushed to the brink when a tech titan takes an interest in UBA. Unexpected alliances form, private truths are weaponized, and everyone is forced to confront their core values both in and out of the newsroom.
Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston leads “The Morning Show” cast, with Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass, Nestor Carbonell, Karen Pittman, and Greta Lee. Other stars of the ensemble include Jon Hamm, Nicole Beharie, and Julianna Marguiles.
Charlotte Stoudt returns to the series to serve as showrunner and executive producer.  Mimi Leder returns again as director, as also has an executive producer credit.  Media Res produces “The Morning Show,” with Michael Ellenberg leading the way there, along with Aniston and Kristen Hahn through Echo Films. Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter also produce through Hello Sunshine.
“The Morning Show” already has an early renewal for a fourth season, no surprise given its awards show success. Last season of the show received Emmy nods for Outstanding Lead Actress In A Drama Series (Witherspoon), Outstanding Supporting Actor In A Drama Series (Crudup, who won that award for Season 1), and Outstanding Guest Actress In A Drama Series (Marcia Gay Harden). “The Morning Show” has also received wins at the SAG Awards for Aniston, the Critics Choice Awards for Crudup, and nods for Leder for Outstanding Directing For A Dram Series at the TV Choice Awards.
With “Ted Lasso” over, “The Morning Show” may become Apple TV+’s premiere original series. Those are large shoes to fill, but this show may be able to pull it off. Season 3 premieres on September 13 exclusively on the streamer with its first two episodes, followed by new episodes weekly through November 8. Watch a new teaser for “The Morning Show” below.
