Beth & Rip ‘Yellowstone’ Spinoff Titled ‘Dutton Ranch’ and Will Change Release Strategy
May 1, 2025
While Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone
may have ended, it seems like it is never really going to be over. Despite already having two spinoff shows in 1883 and 1923, there are now three more Yellowstone-centric shows in development at Paramount+. One of those is a sequel series that will focus on Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) and Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser) following the end of Yellowstone’s story. And it seems the show has been getting a new title and a thrilling production update.
Originally just being called the Beth and Rip spinoff by clever media outlets, a new report from Bloomberg has revealed that the new series will now be coming under the title of Dutton Ranch and will follow a release schedule that will change up the usual format with the episodes premiering on Paramount Network and then streaming on Paramount+ the following day. This will be the first time this strategy has been used in the Yellowstone saga.

Taylor Sheridan’s ‘Yellowstone’ universe is ever-expanding with new spinoffs popping up all the time. Here’s how and where to watch it all in order.
While there have been no plot details revealed about the series yet, it is expected to contain the usual Taylor Sheridan
melodrama, character twists, and controversial moments that will have fans up in arms and swearing they are never watching the show again – until next week. Reilly and Hauser were confirmed to be reprising their respective roles as Beth and Rip, and will seemingly be having their next adventures on their new ranch in Montana, but what will befall them is a mystery for now.
The ‘Yellowstone’ Legacy Lives On
Paramount Network
Yellowstone was an instant hit on Paramount+ in 2018, and its finale six years later came after several controversies, mostly surrounding the departure of star Kevin Costner from the series. Despite that, the final season delivered strong viewership, if not reviews, and prequel shows in 1883 and 1923, which delivered their own success to the franchise. Now, along with Dutton Ranch, The Madison, starring Michelle Pfeiffer, and a procedural centered on Luke Grimes’ Kayce Dutton, are both coming down the line.
Other spinoffs, such as 1944 and 6666 are both believed to still be in the works, but are nowhere near as certain as some of the other projects. Meanwhile, it is not like Sheridan is going short for work, as he has several other shows heading into their next seasons soon to continue his dominance of Paramount+. This includes new seasons of Lioness, Tulsa King, Mayor of Kingstown, and Landman, which recently cast former 1883 star Sam Elliott in a recurring role for its second season.
While Sheridan’s brand of sprawling epic TV is not everyone’s cup of tea, it is impossible to ignore that it is hard to turn on Paramount+ without stumbling into one of his shows. And if that isn’t enough, several movies with the Sheridan stamp upon them have also been frequently charting across several platforms at any one time.
