The first footage from the highly anticipated Marvel series, Daredevil: Born Again, was shown at Disney’s recent upfronts presentation, with the studio also revealing a release window and a new logo for the MCU show. During the presentation, Disney also showed off the first trailer for the series, with the footage teasing what’s to come for The Man Without Fear as he joins the MCU. While we don’t have the trailer itself, IGN has been kind enough to provide a description of what was shown…

“The new trailer “shows Matt Murdock donning the iconic Daredevil suit while narrating that the “entire system is against you… it’s often Davis vs. Goliath.” The footage then shows off glimpses of some of the returning characters, including “Kingpin, Foggy, and Karen,” as well as “a brief action sequence.” The trailer ends with Mudock being asked “what kind of a lawyer are you.”
He replies, “A really good one,” before putting on “a broken pair of his familiar glasses.”

While all we have is a description (for now, anyway), Daredevil: Born Again sounds like it will continue the things that audiences loved from the Netflix series, and will surely be a welcome return for the character in 2025.

Daredevil: Born Again Brings Back Several Fan-Favorites on Disney+

Plot details for Daredevil: Born Again have yet to be officially confirmed, but rumors and recent set images have seemingly revealed that the series will indeed be inspired by the comic book arc Mayor Fisk, which finds New York falling to The Kingpin as he becomes the city’s newly elected mayor. The story finds Matt Murdock working for Fisk, with the Kingpin of Crime using his talent for spin and false philanthropy to wage a war against costumed vigilantes.

Alongside Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil, Daredevil: Born Again will also star Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk, aka Kingpin, Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle, aka The Punisher, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Franklin “Foggy” Nelson, and Wilson Bethel as Benjamin “Dex” Poindexter, aka Bullseye, as well as Margarita Levieva, Michael Gandolfini, and Genneya Walton.

Related Daredevil: Born Again Wraps Filming with Surprise Return for Recast Netflix Series Star Daredevil: Born Again has finally wrapped filming after a long, and troubled production.

To everyone’s surprise, bringing Daredevil back to screens following the character’s acclaimed Netflix run has been difficult. Reports from last year revealed that Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige had been left unhappy with what he saw from the show’s production and dailies, tearing it all down and letting go of both the writers and directors. The Punisher producer Dario Scardapane has since been brought on board and will now serve as showrunner with Loki duo Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead as lead directors.

Daredevil: Born Again
is now scheduled to premiere on Disney+ in March 2025. The series will begin with a 9-episode season, with a second 9-episode season coming quickly afterwards.
Daredevil: Born Again
is confirmed to be part of Phase Five of the MCU.
