Born Again’ Star Hypes up the Season 1 Finale
Apr 16, 2025
The first season of Daredevil: Born Again is now gearing up to bring the Man Without Fear’s return to an action-packed and emotional conclusion, and one of the stars has arrived to add to the already palpable hype. After making his (sort of) MCU debut on Netflix back in 2015, Charlie Cox’s Daredevil is back on Disney+, and Margarita Levieva
has nothing but praise for the imminent finale.
Speaking exclusively with MovieWeb’s own George Edelman, Margarita Levieva, who joins the MCU and the gritty, violent world of Daredevil: Born Again as Matt Murdock’s therapist and love interest Heather Glenn, heaped praise on the final three episodes of the series. Considering the dramatic final moments of last week’s penultimate episode, “Isle of Joy,” here’s hoping you’re ready for even more heartbreak and brutal violence as, according to Levieva, that’s exactly what we’re going to get.

That ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Episode Felt Very Different, and There’s a Big Reason Why
The penultimate episode of ‘Daredevil: Born Again,’ which is the highest-rated episode of Season 1, is a very good sign of what’s to come.
“I’m so excited for the last three episodes. I think they’re epic, and I think they’re just so full of everything, as far as entertainment, heartbreak, extreme, brutal violence. I mean, all of it like, it’s just like, you’ve got the whole gamut and it’s and the way that it all comes together, or the way that it all unravels, I shall say, is quite exciting. I’m really looking forward to people seeing those three.”
‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Has Been a Triumphant Return for the Marvel Icon
Disney+
Following the response from fans to the Netflix series and its core cast, Disney and Marvel Studios decided to continue the story on Disney+ in Daredevil: Born Again. Eventually. Initially, it was decided that, while some of the cast would return, Born Again would carve out a new path for the character. However, these plans displeased Marvel boss Kevin Feige, who demanded a complete retooling of the show, firing many of those involved and going back to the drawing board.
What emerged was much closer to what came before, with the response to Daredevil: Born Again being overwhelmingly positive so far. Season 1 currently holds a rating of 88% from critics on Rotten Tomatoes, with the consensus reading, “Resurrecting Charlie Cox’s Daredevil with his virtues intact — namely Vincent D’Onofrio as his terrifying adversary — Born Again is an ambitious and at times ungainly crime saga that marks a mature tonal shift for the MCU.”
Daredevil: Born Again reintroduces audiences to Matt Murdock, who finds himself on a collision course with Wilson Fisk when their past identities begin to emerge. The series stars Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock, AKA Daredevil alongside Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk, AKA The Kingpin, with the rest of the cast including Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle, AKA The Punisher, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Franklin “Foggy” Nelson, and Wilson Bethel as Benjamin “Dex” Poindexter, AKA Bullseye, as well as Margarita Levieva, Michael Gandolfini, and Genneya Walton.
The finale of Daredevil: Born Again Season 1 will be available to stream on Tuesday, April 15, at 6 p.m. PT/9 p.m. ET on Disney+. The series has already been renewed for Season 2.
