Born Again’ Trailer Unveils Action-Packed MCU Series
Jan 23, 2025
After six long years, the time has finally arrived. The Man Without Fear is officially back, and he looks better than ever. Marvel has finally released the Daredevil: Born Again trailer online for the public, unveiling the highly-anticipated Disney+ series that looks to live up to its beloved predecessor. Reprising their roles from Netflix’s Daredevil, the new teaser features Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock and Vincent D’Onofrio as Kingpin, former archenemies that might be putting aside their differences for the greater good of New York City.
Marvel Studios revealed the trailer on Wednesday morning to the delight of Daredevil fans across the world. Unlike in previous brief teasers, the action-packed footage blows the lid on the Disney+ series. Matt Murdock continues his career as a lawyer, surrounded by mostly new characters and potential love interests. D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk aka Kingpin is teased throughout the trailer, as well as his intentions to become the mayor of New York City. Old favorites like Bullseye (Wilson Bethel) and Punisher (Jon Bernthal) make their long-awaited debut in the MCU. Meanwhile, Karen Page and Foggy Nelson make appearances, but it doesn’t seem their roles are as significant as they were in the Netflix series.
Daredevil: Born Again includes several familiar faces as well as some key new ones. In addition to Cox and D’Onofrio, Born Again features Margarita Levieva as Heather Glenn, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Franklin “Foggy” Nelson, Ayelet Zurer as Vanessa Marianna-Fisk, Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle aka Punisher, Wilson Bethel as Benjamin “Dex” Poindexter aka Bullseye, and Kamar de los Reyes as Hector Ayala aka White Tiger. Check out the official synopsis:
“In Marvel Television’s ‘Daredevil: Born Again,’ Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), a blind lawyer with heightened abilities is fighting for justice through his bustling law firm, while former mob boss Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) pursues his own political endeavors in New York. When their past identities begin to emerge, both men find themselves on an inevitable collision course.”
It’s Been a Long Road for ‘Daredevil: Born Again’
While Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock has already made several appearances in the MCU, including in Spider-Man: No Way Home and the Disney+ show Echo, Daredevil: Born Again marks his return as a protagonist of his own series. It’s been a long road for fans, as not only has the new show faced several major creative setbacks during production, but the newly-released trailer was delayed due to the recent Los Angeles fires. Unlike its predecessor, Born Again will be explicitly set in the MCU, and while it was first meant to diverge from the events of Netflix’s original show, both will now be closely intertwined.

Not only will fans finally be treated to Daredevil: Born Again this spring, but Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has already confirmed a second season will be filming around the same time. Some might be surprised to hear that, as the show has not even premiered on Disney+ yet. However, this quick Season 2 turnaround is likely due to the fact that Born Again Season 1 will consist of nine episodes, instead of the original 18 that was promised by the studio when the show was first announced.
