Breaking Bad & Toy Story AI Mash-Up is Pure Nightmare Fuel
Sep 30, 2024
In the world of AI-generated videos, there are some truly disturbing sights to see, and a cross-over of Breaking Bad and Toy Story is one of them. With off-kilter iterations of Woody and Buzz in the guise of Walter White and Jesse Pinkman, “Breaking Toys” is as crazy a creation as it sounds, and it is one of those “once-seen-cannot-be-unseen” moments. Continue at your own risk.
Breaking Bad is regarded as one of the greatest TV shows of all time, with its story of mild-mannered chemistry teacher Walter White – played impeccably by Bryan Cranston – who finds himself transforming into a powerful and dangerous drug lord being played out over six incredible seasons. Meanwhile, Toy Story is the hugely successful Disney Pixar franchise which in 1995 answered the question of what our toys get up to when we are not around. So naturally, these two properties are just bubbling over with crossover potential that has now been realized in the most eerie way possible. Check out the bizarre mash-up below.
The Future of Breaking Bad and Toy Story
While their futures lie in very different avenues, at least one of these properties is moving forward with a new addition in the future. Toy Story 5 was announced to be in development last year and is currently aiming to arrive in cinemas in 2026 with many of its original cast members, including Tom Hanks and Tim Allen, returning to voice their iconic roles. While the announcement of yet another Toy Story sequel drew a mixed reaction from fans who believe that more movies will just end up ruining the impressive legacy of the franchise, Disney’s biggest results have been increasingly linked to their big IPs and that means Toy Story, along with Zootopia, Frozen and several others, are all in line for new installments.
The

franchise and its many offshoots, including the divisive movie
Lightyear
, Halloween specials and Forky shorts, are all currently available to stream via Disney+.
Meanwhile, the Breaking Bad universe seems to have come to an end for now. Having delivered an almost perfect series between 2008 and 2013, creator Vince Gilligan has already returned to Walter White’s world twice. First came the Netflix movie El Camino, a sequel focusing on Aaron Paul’s Jesse Pinkman, and then a second hit series with prequel show Better Call Saul, which told the story of Bob Odenkirk’s slippery lawyer Jimmy McGill/Saul Goodman and came to its satisfying conclusion in 2022.
While Gilligan has hinted that he could be interested in returning to the Breaking Bad world again “if my next project fails,” it looks like in the meantime fans will need to make do with reliving the past exploits of Cranston’s Walter White and his associates. All episodes of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, as well as El Camino, are streaming on Netflix.
