Based on the bestselling debut novel of the same name by Bonnie Garmus, “Lessons In Chemistry” follows Larson as an aspiring scientist who must resort to hosting a TV cooking show to realize her dreams.
Here’s an official synopsis for the series, courtesy of Apple Studios:
Set in the early 1950s, “Lessons in Chemistry” follows Elizabeth Zott, whose dream of being a scientist is put on hold in a patriarchal society. When Elizabeth finds herself fired from her lab, she accepts a job as a host on a TV cooking show, and sets out to teach a nation of overlooked housewives – and the men who are suddenly listening – a lot more than recipes.
Alongside Larson, “Lessons In Chemistry” also stars Lewis Pullman, Aja Naomi King, Stephanie Koenig, Kevin Sussman, Patrick Walker, and Thomas Mann.
“WeCrashed” writer/creator and six-time Emmy nominee Lee Eisenberg serves as showrunner on “Lessons In Chemistry.”  Susannah Grant, Louise Shore, and Larson co-executive produce the series.  Jason Bateman and Michael Costigan also co-executive produce through Aggregate Films.  Natalie Sandy also executive produces through Piece Of Work Entertainment with Eisenberg.
Check out a first-look teaser for “Lessons In Chemistry” below. The series debuts exclusively on Apple TV+ sometime this Fall, premiere date TBD.
