Christoph Waltz Is The Boss From Hell In Prime Video’s New Series

Jan 3, 2023

Even though Christoph Waltz has appeared in a number of movies and TV shows over the course of his career, playing a variety of different characters, there’s always just a bit of menace in everything he does. Obviously, that’s highlighted in his award-winning performance in “Inglourious Basterds.” But that menace is taken to a new level in the upcoming series, “The Consultant.”

As seen in the new teaser for “The Consultant,” the Prime Video series tells the story of a new, uh, consultant who is hired by an app company to help the business. Sure, on the surface, that sounds a bit dry and uninteresting, but wouldn’t you know it? This consultant is actually a psychopath willing to do whatever it takes to help achieve his goals.
Joining Waltz in the cast are Nat Wolff, Brittany O’Grady, and Aimee Carrero. The series is showrun by Tony Basgallop, who is probably best known for his work on the Apple TV+ thriller series, “Servant.” Matt Shakman, who broke out in a big way thanks to his work on “WandaVision,” is on board as an executive producer and director of the pilot episode.
“The Consultant” arrives on Prime Video on February 24. You can watch the teaser below.
Here’s the synopsis:
When a new consultant, Regus Patoff (Christoph Waltz), is hired to improve the business at the App-based gaming company CompWare, employees experience new demands and challenges that put everything into question … including their lives.
