Dave Franco (Now You See Me), Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones), and O’Shea Jackson Jr. (Den Of Thieves: Pantera) are set to star in a new film project described as a raucous comedy, titled The Shitheads. The movie follows “cynical degenerate Mark (Franco) and bumbling idealist Davis (Jackson) as they’ve both hit rock bottom. Paired for a job by a shady transport service, their task seems simple: transport Sheridan, a wealthy troubled teen, to rehab. “But Sheridan has other plans and what starts as a simple road trip becomes an unhinged odyssey of drug-fueled disasters, near-death experiences, and criminal encounters. “Out of their minds and in way over their heads, Mark and Davis find the courage to face their failures and realize that it’s not the destination that matters, it’s the shitheads you meet along the way.”The movie was written and directed by Macon Blair, who previously collaborated with Dinklage on Brothers and The Toxic Avenger. The film is said to be a passion project for Blair. A previous incarnation of the dark-comedy back in 2017 had Luke Wilson and Tracy Morgan attached.Source: Deadline

Sean Baker Collaborator Shin Ching-Tsou’s Debut Is An Honest, Darling Challenge Of Patriarchal Norms
There's an incandescent sweetness to Left-Handed Girl, the solo directorial debut from long-time Sean Baker collaborator Shin Ching-Tsou. Co-written and edited by him, the film is nonetheless distinctively Ching-Tsou's, a romantically funny rebuke of patriarchal conventions and Taiwanese traditionalism. Centering…

The Twits Review: Chaotic, Overstuffed, and Uneven
Phil Johnston’s The Twits is an animated musical comedy that should, in theory, have been a perfect playground for anarchic imagination. Roald Dahl’s 1980 novel was a lean, nasty little morality tale about cruelty and comeuppance — a darkly funny…
