The Apple Original Films production incorporates documentary, archival and scripted elements to tell Michael J. Fox’s extraordinary story in his own words. Fox traces his childhood as a small kid on a Canadian army base to becoming one of the biggest Hollywood stars of the 1980s to his ongoing fight against a debilitating sickness. As Fox puts it, his life is what happens “when an incurable optimist confronts an incurable disease,” but there are plenty of nostalgic thrills and fanfare in between.
Guggenheim, Annetta Marion, Will Cohen, and Jonathan King produce “Still.” The film’s executive producers include Laurene Powell Jobs, Jonathan Silberberg, Nicole Stott, and Nelle Fortenberry.
So how does Michael J. Fox continue his struggle against Parkinson’s? In the actor’s words: “I’m a tough son of a bitch.” “Still: A Michael J. Fox Story” premieres exclusively on Apple TV+ on May 12. Watch a trailer for the documentary below.
