Cyclops, Mystique, Nightcrawler, and Gambit are all rocking designs straight out of the comics, while Doom, Magneto, and others sport updated looks that confirm Marvel is leaning heavily into fan service for the 2026 crossover. The image gives us our clearest look yet at the movie’s enormous roster. From the Fantastic Four to the returning Avengers to a swarm of mutants, it’s a crowded field. The costumes themselves reveal plenty of details for eagle-eyed fans. Doctor Doom’s look matches the design teased at Disney’s Shanghai event, complete with his distinctive armor and pauldrons. The Fantastic Four are each wearing tactical vests layered over their traditional suits, while Thor has returned to his Ragnarok and Infinity War style with short hair and new gold pauldrons. Cyclops, Mystique, and Nightcrawler stand out most, each sporting comic-accurate costumes that bring their iconic looks to life on screen. Magneto appears to be wearing a red-toned version of his original X-Men trilogy suit (sans cape), and Professor X is back in his classic silver wheelchair instead of the yellow hoverchair glimpsed in Multiverse of Madness. M’Baku looks resplendent in regal Wakandan garb, suggesting he has indeed taken the throne, while Namor is shown in a sharp redesign based on one of his most famous comic looks. Filming just wrapped in London on the film, with a break anticipated until filming on Avengers: Secret Wars begins in 2026. Avengers: Doomsday hits theaters May 1, 2026.
