Eli Roth Is Finally Making His THANKSGIVING Horror Film Based on His GRINDHOUSE Trailer — GeekTyrant

Jan 13, 2023

Director Eli Roth is finally getting around to making his horror movie Thanksgiving, which is based on the trailer that is part of the 2007 Grindhouse double feature that he made with Quentin Tarantino. The news was revealed over the weekend when it was reported that Deadpool director Tim Miller would be replacing Roth as the director of Borderlands on the reshoots that need to be done. It was reported that Roth couldn’t do it because he was too busy developing Thanksgiving. The Thanksgiving trailer presented the wonderfully gory film about a slasher who “makes his own carving board out of the inhabitants of a Massachusetts town that makes a big annual fuss over the annual turkey day.”At the time, the trailer hit a popularity high, and Roth decided to turn it into an actual feature-length blood feast. It’s been fifteen years since the trailer debut in Grindhouse, but I guess it’s better late than never! I completely forgot about that Thanksgiving trailer until this news popped up in that report! The question is, are audiences ready for a holiday gore-drenched splatter-fest?
