Emma Roberts and Laurence Fishburne are set to star in an upcoming sci-fi thriller film project The Astronaut. In the film, Roberts will play astronaut Sam Walker “who is found miraculously alive in a punctured capsule floating deep off the coast of the Atlantic Ocean.” Fishburne will play General William Harris in the movie, who “arranges for her to be placed under intense NASA surveillance in a high security house for rehabilitation and medical testing. When disturbing occurrences begin happening around the property, Walker fears something extraterrestrial has followed her back to Earth.”That sounds like it could be a fun movie! It’s being produced by A Quiet Place and The Purge producer Brad Fuller and production is set to start later this year in Ireland with Jess Varley (Phobias) making her solo writing and directorial debut.Varley said in a statement: “This story is very close to my heart and I’m profoundly grateful it’s resonated with such an immensely accomplished team of creatives.
