FALLOUT Showrunners Say They Will Get Season 2 Will Out as “Fast as Humanly Possible” — GeekTyrant

The first season of Fallout was absolutely fantastic! The creative team did such a great job of bringing this story to life and fans are excited to see how the story continues with Season 2.As you know, developing a series like this is a lot of work, and a second season isn’t something that we are going to see anytime soon, but the creative team is working hard to get it to us as “fast as humanly possible.”During an interview with THR, showrunners Graham Wagner and Geneva Robertson-Dworet talked about Season 2 of the series, and what time frame audiences can expect Fallout to return.Wagner said: “I’m hesitant to give a date that will be taken out of context and live on Reddit for a year or so. But we are going as fast as we possibly can, and we’ve got a lot of heavy lifting from Season 1 already done.” He added: “We have sets, assets, visual effects, that are already done. We are hitting the ground running this season. We’re going to be pedal to the metal to get season two out as fast as humanly possible.”That’s great that they are working fast to get Fallout Season 2 up and rolling, but I don’t mind if they take their time to make sure the story is solid and the scripts are in the best shape they can be in. I don’t want them to sacrifice quality to push it out faster. The showrunners also address their original five-season plan for the series saying that given the success of the series’ first season “five [seasons] is suddenly feeling a little more appealing.” As for what audiences can expect, Robertson-Dworet notes that they’re “really grateful to have the opportunity to bring to the screen all the things that didn’t quite fit in Season 1.”Based on the video game series from Bethesda Game Studios, Fallout is the story of haves and have-nots in a world in which there’s almost nothing left to have. Two-hundred years after the apocalypse, the gentle denizens of luxury fallout shelters are forced to return to the irradiated hellscape their ancestors left behind—and are shocked to discover an incredibly complex, gleefully weird, and highly violent universe waiting for them. The series stars Ella Purnell as Lucy, an optimistic Vault-dweller with an all-American can-do spirit. Her peaceful and idealistic nature is tested when she is forced to the surface to rescue her father. Aaron Moten is Maximus, a young soldier who rises to the rank of squire in the militaristic faction called the Brotherhood of Steel. He will do anything to further the Brotherhood’s goals of bringing law and order to the wasteland.Walton Goggins is the Ghoul, a morally ambiguous bounty hunter who holds within him a 200-year history of the post-nuclear world. These disparate parties collide when chasing an artifact from an enigmatic researcher that has the potential to radically change the power dynamic in this world. The series cast also includes Kyle MacLachlan (Twin Peaks), Moisés Arias (The King of Staten Island), Sarita Choudhury (Homeland), Michael Emerson (Person of Interest), Leslie Uggams (Deadpool), Frances Turner (The Boys), Dave Register (Heightened), Zach Cherry (Severance), Johnny Pemberton (Ant-Man), Rodrigo Luzzi (Dead Ringers), Annabel O’Hagan (Law & Order: SVU), and Xelia Mendes-Jones (The Wheel of Time).
