Final Destination Bloodlines Digital Release Date Confirmed By Director After Inaccurate Listing
May 22, 2025
Final Destination Bloodlines’ digital release date has been confirmed by co-director Adam Stein after an inaccurate listing. Directed by Stein and Zach Lipovsky, the sixth film in the horror franchise follows a college student who, after her grandmother’s death, begins experiencing visions tied to a premonition that once prevented a fatal structural collapse in 1968, only to discover that Death is now targeting her family. Final Destination Bloodlines’ cast includes Kaitlyn Santa Juana, Teo Briones, Richard Harmon, Owen Patrick Joyner, Anna Lore, Brec Bassinger, and Tony Todd.
Now, just five days after releasing in theaters, the movie’s digital release date has been revealed. On X, formerly Twitter, Adam Stein responded to an inaccurate listing, revealing that Final Destination Bloodlines’ digital release date is June 17. The inaccurate listing claimed the home release was in just two weeks on June 4. Check out his post below:
What Final Destination Bloodlines’ Digital Release Date Means For The Movie
A Later Home Release Is Beneficial
Final Destination Bloodlines was just released in theaters on May 16 and debuted to an impressive $51.6 million domestically, securing the top spot at the box office and marking the largest opening weekend in the franchise’s history, even when adjusted for inflation, surpassing the $27.4 million debut of The Final Destination in 2009. To date, Bloodlines has made $116.9 million and counting worldwide, over two times its $50 million budget, and is already well on the path towards profitability for Warner Bros.

Final Destinaiton Bloodlines has great reviews, but how does it really compare to the gory heights of the rest of the series?
Though horror movies typically have shorter theatrical windows, 2 weeks or 18 days (as the inaccurate listing claimed) would have been too short a window for a film performing as well as Final Destination Bloodlines is in theaters. A longer theatrical window of 33 days or five weekends will give Bloodlines more time to breathe at the box office, and possibly pass The Final Destination’s $187.4 million as the highest-grossing film in the franchise. With Final Destination Bloodlines’ reviews being the best in franchise history, it should continue to benefit from strong word of mouth.
Our Take On Final Destination Bloodlines’ Digital Release
How Will It Fare This Weekend?
It remains to be seen just how strong Final Destination Bloodlines’ second weekend will be, as it will have to compete with both Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning and Lilo & Stitch, a box office battle that has been dubbed “Stitchpossible,” reminiscent of the “Barbenheimer” and “Glicked” phenomena. Though Bloodlines may not stand a chance among this competition, it’s nice to see Warner Bros. holding out for a slightly longer theatrical window. With any luck, the upcoming Memorial Day weekend will hopefully yield positive results for all three titles.
