First Look Photo Revealed From ZOOTOPIA 2 and It’s Revealed That Ke Huy Quan Will Play the Villain — GeekTyrant

Aug 18, 2024

This weekend, the Disney convention D23 took place, and we got so much cool news from the studio, including some new info on the long-awaited sequel, Zootopia 2. The first film, released in 2016, won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature., and was a box office and critical success, so when it was announced last year, it was a no-brainer. At D23, a new poster was revealed which sees Judy Hopps (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Nick Wilde (Jason Bateman) being chased by a slew of animals at what appears to be the Zootenial celebration. You can also see in the new image that reptiles and marine mammals will be part of the new film, as there are sea lions and a pink walrus shown. There was also a walrus at the Expo’s Zootopia 2 booth, leading us to believe the film’s main setting will be at the shore. We’ve also learned that Academy Award-winning actor Ke Huy Quan (Everything Everywhere All At Once, Loki) has joined the cast of the film as one of the villainous reptiles, Gary. His tail appears pretty prominently on the new logo for Zootopia 2 as the bottom of the number “two” is in the shape of a snakes tail.Check out the new poster below, and watch Zootopia 2 when it’s released on November 26, 2025.
