First Steps’ Figures From Iron Studios Give Us Our Best Look Yet at Reed and Sue’s Son [Exclusive]
May 31, 2025
The Fantastic Four: First Steps is bringing Marvel’s First Family into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And now, we have an exclusive look at some new figures from Iron Studios tied to the film’s release. The figures include Pedro Pascal’s Reed Richards doing what he does best (stretching), the Thing (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) getting ready for some clobbering time, and even has Johnny Storm (Joseph Quinn) lighting the scene up. But one of the more interesting additions to the figures from Iron Studios is Sue Storm’s (Vanessa Kirby) figure. Mainly because we get to meet a brand-new beloved member of the team: Franklin Richards. It was revealed in the second trailer for the film that Sue was pregnant and fans of the comics knew that it meant that Franklin was coming. Reed and Sue have two children in the world of Marvel Comics, including Franklin and his sister, Valeria. Franklin is the older child, so Sue being pregnant had Fantastic Four fans on alert. And now the new figure shows Sue protecting Franklin during a battle by using her power to create a force field around him. The other figures include Johnny in his classic “flame on” look, engulfed by flames, and we get to see the Thing standing on top of a destroyed taxi looking less than pleased. But don’t worry, there is also a perfect Reed Richards figure to get you excited for Pascal’s take on the role, with Reed stretching to grab something in the middle of the battle. While each figure of the team is beautiful, you can also bring some darkness to your collection with a Galactus figure sitting on a chair!
Vanessa Kirby Also Teased Fans About Franklin Richards
During a recent interview with Empire Magazine, Kirby was talking about the film and explaining how much of a nerd for Sue Storm she ended up becoming. But she also made a comment that had fans wondering what they were going to include about Franklin. When speaking with the publication, Kirby said “It’s not just adults that have superpowers.” That has many fans wondering if that means that Franklin will have powers in the movie. In the comics, Franklin Richards can manipulate reality and can see his mother even when she’s invisible, which is maybe what the shot of Kirby in the trailer is showing? We will have all our answers about the team this coming July when Fantastic Four: First Steps hits theaters.
