First Steps’ Reveals New Galactus Popcorn Bucket
Jun 12, 2025
Marvel Studios has entered the popcorn bucket wars, and they may have just won the summer. The company has revealed the theater merchandise for The Fantastic Four: First Steps, and one new item will have fans believing they can consume galaxies like the towering foe of Marvel’s First Family. Unfortunately, they won’t be yelling clobberin’ time, but they will still be very satisfied with the final design for what appears to be Marvel’s largest popcorn bucket yet. Marvel Studios revealed the first look at the AMC Theatres popcorn bucket for The Fantastic Four: First Steps, which is designed after the head of the film’s galaxy-eating villain, Galactus (Ralph Ineson). In addition to the bucket, AMC unveiled a new H.E.R.B.I.E. style container, which can contain drinks, popcorn, and candy. However, Galactus may still be the most potent popcorn container, as it runs 20 inches wide and 17.5 inches tall. It’s officially listed as a 341oz bucket, which means fans will have more than enough to eat during their showing of Fantastic Four later this summer. Check out the bucket below:
Regal Cinemas also came to play, as they unveiled a Fantasticar-themed popcorn bucket. There seems to be a major effort by Marvel to get a wide variety of theater merch ready for First Steps, especially as other films continue to up the ante when it comes to popcorn buckets. Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning may still hold the crown for the most creative design yet, but Galactus could take the top spot. As MCU fans get their first taste of the merch heading to their local cinema for Fantastic Four, DCU fans patiently await James Gunn’s Superman to reveal their entry in the bucket saga.
New ‘Fantastic Four’ Teaser Reveals First Look at Marvel’s Most Powerful Character
Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures
In addition to revealing the first theater merch for The Fantastic Four: First Steps, Marvel Studios released a new teaser trailer for the film that highlights the youngest member of Marvel’s First Family. Franklin Richards, the first child of Sue Storm (Vanessa Kirby) and Reed Richards (Pedro Pascal), can be seen in the new footage. It appears Marvel is no longer keeping his inclusion in the film a secret, but his debut still has major implications for the MCU moving forward. Franklin is an omega-level mutant that changes reality as he sees fit. Yes, really. If First Steps is comic-accurate, then Franklin will quickly become one of the most powerful characters in the MCU. Yes, even stronger than Galactus, whose entire caloric intake is made up of galaxies. In the source material, Franklin’s superpowers are far more wide-ranging than the rest of the Fantastic Four. He has psionic, telepathic and reality manipulation powers. Yes, Franklin can bend the very fabric of reality, and often does so in the comics. It’s unclear if this insane powerset will be introduced in First Steps, but there is probably a reason that the subtitle likely refers to the child. Source: Marvel Studios
