Filming on Thunderbolts is finally about to begin! After so many delays, which includes the Writers Guild of America (WGA) and the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) strikes, Thunderbolts is about to start shooting. Actress Florence Pugh revealed the news while doing press with Zendaya for Dune: Part Two. Pugh said in an exclusive interview with Entertainment Tonight:
“It kind of feels like it still might not happen because of the amount of times that it’s been paused, which is just a natural feeling. But I’m going straight after this. I’m going to go to Atlanta and start doing some prep, and then I’m off — I’m shooting. So, I’ll be there —”
Zendaya interrupted and warmly said with a smile on her face:
Pugh said, as Zendaya continued smiling:
“Yeah, I’ll be there for a large portion of time, and it’s wonderful. You know, when we shot Black Widow, we thought we were going to shoot the next movie relatively sooner than we did. And it’s just been this thing that’s been looming at some point in the future. And now, it’s actually happening, so it feels a little real. But it’s coming back. Yelena is coming back.”

Beyond Thunderbolts, Beyond Dune
Universal Pictures
Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will undoubtedly be happy when Florence Pugh makes her return as Yelena Belova in the upcoming Thunderbolts movie. However, the Oscar-nominated star (Best Supporting Actress for her portrayal in Greta Gerwig’s Little Women) seemed flattered when Entertainment Tonight’s Nischelle Turner compared Pugh and her Dune: Part Two cast to that of the 1980s Brat Pack. Pugh said in the same interview:
“I mean, it’s a wonderful thing to hear. We all admire each other’s work. And we all know that every person in this movie, whether it’s our age or older, is like… they are crème de la crème. Like, it’s truly an amazing experience being around that much talent. And then, of course, with your peers, like I’ve loved her [Zendaya] work for such a long time.”
