Aug 4, 2025

Disney has released the first full trailer for Zootopia 2, and if you’re a fan of the first film, it looks like the long wait might have been worth it. After nearly a decade, Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde are back on the beat in a brand-new mystery that shakes up the city of Zootopia. This time, the dynamic duo is chasing down a mysterious reptile that’s wreaking havoc across the metropolis, forcing them to go undercover and explore the wilder sides of the city. The sequel sees the return of Ginnifer Goodwin, Jason Bateman, and Shakira, along with exciting new cast members including Ke Huy Quan as Gary De’Snake, Fortune Feimster as Nibbles, and Quinta Brunson as Dr. Fuzzby. Zootopia 2, also known internationally as Zootropolis 2 or Zoomania 2, dives even deeper into the vibrant animal world created in the 2016 original. Co-directed by Byron Howard and Jared Bush, and produced by Yvett Merino, the sequel follows Judy and Nick’s partnership as it’s tested like never before. “Detectives Judy Hopps (voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin) and Nick Wilde (voiced by Jason Bateman) find themselves on the twisting trail of a mysterious reptile who arrives in Zootopia and turns the mammal metropolis upside down. “To crack the case, Judy and Nick must go undercover to unexpected new parts of town, where their growing partnership is tested like never before.” Disney Animation Studios will release the film in theaters on November 26, 2025.
