Giancarlo Esposito, Katie Holmes, Kumail Nanjiani & Gaby Hoffmann To Guest Star In Season 2

Jul 17, 2024

We should have fully expected “Poker Face” to be a hit series. Natasha Lyonne is one of the best actors working today, and she’s had an exception run on TV. Not only that, but Rian Johnson seemingly can’t miss nowadays. But still, the series was a pleasant surprise when it debuted in 2023. Now, as we approach Season 2, expectations are sky high, especially with the new cast coming to the series.

According to Peacock, Giancarlo Esposito (“Better Call Saul,” “Parish”), Katie Holmes (“Our Town,” “Ray Donovan”), Gaby Hoffmann (“Transparent,” “Eric”), Kumail Nanjiani (“Welcome to Chippendales,” “Only Murders in the Building”) are all going to guest star in “Poker Face” Season 2. For those not familiar with the series, the show is a mystery-of-the-week format where Lyonne’s character goes to a new town and helps solve a mystery. Along the way, she meets all sorts of unique characters. So, that’s where all of those big names come in.

Here’s the synopsis for the series:
Poker Face is a mystery-of-the-week series following Natasha Lyonne’s Charlie, who has an extraordinary ability to determine when someone is lying. She hits the road with her Plymouth Barracuda and with every stop encounters a new cast of characters and strange crimes she can’t help but solve.
As mentioned, the show is executive produced by Rian Johnson, as well as Natasha Lyonne. The series is showrun by Tony Tost, who is probably best known for the film “Americana” and his TV work on shows like “Damnation,” “The Terror,” and “Longmire.”
It’s unclear when we might see “Poker Face” Season 2 arrive. If production is beginning now, then we might have to wait until 2025.
