Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 3 Top 2024 Make-Up and Hairstyling Awards Nominees

Are you ready for Hollywood guild award season? Get ready, because the nominations are going to arrive like a tidal wave. Kicking things off in 2024 are the Make-Up Artists & Hairstylists with the 11th Annual MUAHS Awards. And, leading all nominees was “Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 3” with four nominations including Best Contemporary Makeup. “Maestro,” “Barbie,” and “Poor Things” took two each.

On the television side, “Dancing With The Stars” earned a monstrous five nods while “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” took three in its final season. “The Bear,” “The Idol,” “The Crown,” “Ahsoka,” and “The Last of Us” all landed two nominations each
Other nominees in the Contemporary Film category include “Candy Cane Lane,” “The Haunted Mansion,” “Nyad,” and “Saltburn.” . The Best Period and/or Character Makeup field saw “Barbie,” “Guardians,” “Maestro,” “Oppenheimer” and “Poor Things” landing nominations.
Among films that made the Makeup and Hairstyling Oscar shortlist last month, the only surprising snubs are “Society of the Show,” “Killers of the Flower Moon,” “Ferrari,” “Beau is Afraid,” and “Napoleon.”
The winners will be announced in a ceremony on Feb. 18.
