HBO Enlists Some Of The Funniest People To Bring Weird Florida Stories To Life

Florida is always the butt of jokes. And as someone who grew up in Florida, the jokes are mostly accurate. It’s definitely the weirdest state. All that to say, it’s not shocking to see HBO come up with a late-night comedy series based on the antics of Floridians, titled “It’s Florida, Man.”

As seen in the trailer for “It’s Florida, Man,” the series sheds a light on some of the strangest stories to come out of Florida. And while the stories are true, the real excitement comes into play with the dramatic recreations of the stories. That’s where some of the biggest names in comedy are cast with bringing these stories to life. 
The cast for the comedy series includes Anna Faris, Randall Park, Jake Johnson, Jon Gries, Sam Richardson, Ego Nwodim, Juliette Lewis, and Simon Rex. “It’s Florida, Man” is co-created and produced by Mark Herwick and Jeff Tomsic. The latter of which also directs.
“It’s Florida, Man” debuts on HBO on October 18. You can watch the trailer below.

Covering diverse topics – from mermaids to witches, extreme fantasies, and feral bunnies with equal parts humor and heart, IT’S FLORIDA, MAN. is a love letter to the beaches, backwaters, and especially the people of a misunderstood yet magical state.
