HBO’s Hit Series With Pedro Pascal & Bella Ramsey Returns In 2025

Sep 26, 2024

HBO has a stacked 2025 release schedule, with “The White Lotus” Season 3, “It: Welcome To Derry,” and a new “Game Of Thrones” spinoff premiering next year. But “The Last Of Us” Season 2 is far and away the network’s biggest 2025 premiere, and now fans get their first look at the new season in a special TLOU Day teaser.

Those who’ve played the Naughty Dog games will recognize more than a few things in the teaser, but let’s not spoil things. Instead, let’s focus on the set-up, with Pedro Pascal‘s Joel reluctant to open up to Catherina O’Hara‘s therapist as the teaser gradually tends to more and more chaotic scenes from the upcoming seasons.
Here’s a synopsis for Season 2, courtesy of HBO:
After five years of peace following the events of the first season, Joel and Ellie’s collective past catches up to them, drawing them into conflict with each other and a world even more dangerous and unpredictable than the one they left behind.
“The Last Of Us” Season 2 stars Pascal as Joel and Bella Ramsey as Ellie.  Gabriel Luna and Rutina Wesley also return from Season 1.  New cast this season includes Kaitlyn Dever, Isabela Merced, Young Mazino, Ariel Barer, Tati Gabrielle, Spencer Lord, Danny Ramirez, and Jeffrey Wright. O’Hara also guest stars.
Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann write and executive produce “The Last Of Us,” a co-production from HBO and Sony Pictures Television. Other executive producers on the series include Carolyn Strauss, Jacqueline Lesko, Cecil O’Connor, Asa Qizilbash, Carter Swan, and Evan Wells. Production companies on the series include PlayStation Productions, Word Games, The Mighty Mint, and Naughty Dog.
Check out the special TLOU Day teaser for “The Last Of Us” Season 2 below, and stay tuned for an official premiere date.
