Hugh Jackman is Getting in “Better Shape Than Ever” For Wolverine in DEADPOOL 3 — GeekTyrant

Jan 4, 2023

Hugh Jackman always tends to go all out when he plays Wolverine and he ends up getting in insane physical shape! It’s crazy to see how ripped he gets. The worst he’s ever physically looked as Wolverine was in the first X-Men film, and that’s because he didn’t have much time to prep for the role. Now, at the age of 54 years old, Jackman is looking to get in the best shape of his life to play Wolverine again for Marvel Studios in Deadpool 3. Jackman was recently asked in an interview with Empire Podcast how his training for his Wolverine return was going and was also asked if training has gotten any easier, and this was his reply:”No, a lot harder. I’m doing eight shows a week right now, so I’m only lifting weights three times a week. But I’ll be getting into it once or twice a day as soon as this is done in a month. And I’ll have six months to prep, and I always have the same approach every time I go in. I want it to be better than ever, to be in better shape than ever, more able to do things than ever. I just get the added incentive of taking Ryan Reynolds out each day.”It’s going to be pretty cool to get to see Jackman as Wolverine about and I’m curious to see what the best shape of his life will look like at his age. All I’m hoping for is to see him finally wear the classic Wolverine costume from the comics! The movie will take place prior to the events of Logan, so it won’t mess with that storyline. Jackman previously talked about that, saying: “He was actually really cool about it. I did tell him that it took place before our movie, so it wasn’t going to screw it up, like claws coming out of the grave. So, he was relieved by that, and he totally got it, that it was a really good idea.”None of us wanted to screw with that and I was really proud of the movie and what we did, and it felt like perfect and actually for five years, I was really honest that I can tell you, I was like, this is it. It was August 14, I remember driving and it just came to me like, that this would be so much fun. I’ll probably have more fun on that movie than anything and on August 13 I was like, I’m never playing that part again.”Director Shawn Levy also previously teased the R-rated violence and foulness of the film, saying:”We are writing, rewriting, developing, prepping ‘Deadpool’ every day now. It is such a blast to laugh every day. It is so delicious to hear and write and come up with these scenes where people are just talking foul. And the violence is in your face and hardcore, and it’s very much a ‘Deadpool’ movie.”Also, Wolverine and Deadpool are not going to get along wit the movie. Wolverine hates Deadpool, and Jackman previously talked about that, saying: “How do I categorize it? Ten being really close, zero being the reality, we’re zero, we’re opposites, hate each other. I’m just talking from my perspective, [Logan’s] frustrated by him, wants to be a million miles away from him or wants to punch him in the head. Unfortunately, he can’t be a million miles away from him in this movie, so I’m probably going to punch him in the head a lot.”Deadpool 3 is scheduled for a November 8, 2024 release.
