Two years ago, “Tell Me Lies” emerged as one of Hulu‘s most streamed original series, in no small part to its steamy storyline. Based on Carola Lovering‘s 2018 novel of the same name, the show chronicles an addictive and tumultuous eight-year relationship between two undergrads at a fictional upstate New York college, and the damage it causes both them and their social circles.

Season 2 picks up where Season 1 left off, with Grace Van Patten‘s Lucy Albright and Jackson White‘s Stephen DeMarco not on speaking terms after their dramatic breakup the previous academic year. But of course, old habits die hard, and the two can’t help themselves around each other, even if it means further fallout with those around them.
Here’s the official synopsis for “Tell Me Lies” S2, courtesy of Hulu:
Tell Me Lies Season 2 picks up as Lucy Albright and Stephen DeMarco return to college, not speaking after their dramatic breakup at the start of the summer. Meanwhile, the story expands deeper into the lives of Lucy and Stephen’s friend group, as the fallout from Season One impacts all of their lives in unexpected ways.
Along with Van Patten, and White, “Tell Me Lies” also stars Cat Missal, Spencer House, Sonia Mena, Branden Cook, Alicia Crowder, and Tom Ellis. Thomas Doherty also stars as a recurring guest, as do Jacob Rodriguez and Katherine Hughes
Meaghan Oppenheimer returns to “Tell Me Lies” S2 as showrunner and executive producer, with Lovering on board as a consulting producer.. Emma Roberts also executive produces with Karah Preiss and Matt Matruski through her Belletrist banner. Laura Lewis and Stephanie Noonan also executive produce through Rebelle Media. Shannon Gibson and Sam Shclaifer round out the EP team. “Tell Me Lies” is a 20th Television production and a Hulu Original series.
