Is Sadie Sink Joining the MCU?
May 15, 2023
Sadie Sink is a rising star. The protagonist of Stranger Things stole the show in the fourth season of the Netflix hit series, and since then, many doors have been opened. One of them could be towards the most successful franchise nowadays, the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Considering that a new breed of characters and actors will arrive in the latest phase of the MCU, targeting a younger audience, Sink’s arrival at Marvel Studios would not be a surprise to anyone. In fact, a recent rumor had involved her in the future The Thunderbolts movie, but nothing was confirmed.
Now, insider Daniel Ritchman (via Covered Geekly) is once again connecting the name of the actress with the MCU. Inside the comment section on a recent post from Richtman, a commenter asked, “Do you know if she’s [SADIE SINK] up for an MCU role?”, Richtman responded with, “She is.”

Sadie has yet to release the fifth and final season of Stranger Things, where her character, Max, will have an important part to play given the Season 4 events. Filming for the series will begin in the coming months and will hit Netflix in 2024. The actress is currently promoting The Whale, the Darren Aronofsky film in which she stars alongside Brendan Fraser and has been acclaimed since its festival premiere.

Who Could Sadie Sink Play in the MCU?
Marvel Comics
If she joins The Thunderbolts, the actress would join her Stranger Things co-star David Harbour, as he is reprising his role as Red Guardian from Black Widow. However, the team is completed by Bucky Barnes, Ghost, Taskmaster, and US Agent, so it is unclear which new character she could play.
Beyond that, an interesting option would be for her to become the MCU’s Jean Grey, now that the X-Men are definitely becoming a part of the franchise. Sink fits into the character’s description and would be an excellent choice for such an iconic character, given her acting skills.
Another fantastic option would be Gwen Stacy. Now that Tom Holland’s Peter Parker it’s no longer familiar with Zendaya’s MJ and all his old friends, he could find a new companion in Gwen, who could ultimately become Spider-Gwen.
On the other hand, many DC fans have asked for the actress to join the Warner Discovery franchise to play Barbara Gordon, aka Batgirl, so she has a lot to choose from regarding the superhero genre. Here’s to hoping Sink eventually finds her way into the beloved MCU.
