Now, ScreenRant exclusively reveals the first trailer for Osiris. The trailer opens by showing a special forces operation in an undisclosed location. After their abduction, things grow increasingly violent as the group’s trust is tested by someone who claims she’s been under alien control for years. Check out the trailer below:

What This Means For Osiris

Linda Hamilton Makes A Return To Sci-Fi

One especially notable element of Osiris is Hamilton’s starring role. The actor is known in the sci-fi genre, most notably for playing Sarah Connor in The Terminator and its sequel. Recent years have seen her revisit the genre with the comedy sci-fi TV series Resident Alien and Terminator: Dark Fate in 2019. Osiris will give audiences an exciting chance to see Hamilton play a role in a genre film that is original, rather than just a Terminator sequel.

A staggering 40 years since it launched, the Terminator franchise shows no signs of slowing down, but not all Terminator movies and shows are hits.

The trailer also clearly establishes this movie as a survival story. The Special Ops group is trapped in a fairly enclosed space, making things considerably more dangerous for them. The group is also abducted by the aliens seemingly out of nowhere. But, as a group armed with weapons and the skills that come with being part of a Special Ops group, they should have what it takes to make it out alive. Whether they succeed, and which ones of them succeed, will be revealed when Osiris is released on July 25.
Our Take On The Osiris Trailer

Its Take On Aliens Will Be Interesting

Osiris offers a new depiction of a terrifying movie alien. Imagery of teeth-bearing, non-human figures has been popularized by the Xenomorphs of the Alien franchise and more. There are also alternate forms of alien creatures shown in smaller movies like Attack the Block and more. The version of extraterrestrial life in Osiris is, at least based on the trailer, not a friendly one even in the slightest. Seeing a new idea of an alien species will help keep the sci-fi film interesting.
