Marge Simpson Crosses Over With Alien Xenomorph In Freaky Cosplay

Nov 26, 2023

Summary

The Simpsons and Alien cosplay merges Marge Simpson with a Xenomorph, creating an eerie and unexpected combination. The costume blends the Xenomorph’s features with Marge’s iconic appearance, with the misshapen skull and bug eyes fitting surprisingly well. The cosplay raises whether an Alien-themed episode could be featured in The Simpsons’ annual “Treehouse of Horror” specials, given the show’s willingness to reference classic films.

Marge Simpson merges with a Xenomorph in an unexpected The Simpsons and Alien cosplay. Beginning back in 1989, The Simpsons is currently in season 35 and has been renewed for a season 36. Alien, on the other hand, began its franchise a decade prior with Ridley Scott’s 1979 film Alien, before going on to become one of the most acclaimed science fiction franchises of all time.

Alien and The Simpsons unite in unique cosplay shared by @the_simpsons_man.

The costume shows a shocking combination of an Alien Xenomorph and a Marge Simpson body. The cosplay uses Marge’s outfit and her yellow skin tone and combines it with scaly Xenomorph elements. This creates an eerie effect for the combined Xenomarge.

Does This Costume Call for an Alien-Themed Treehouse of Horror Episode?

While the Alien-Simpsons combo costume is certainly disconcerting, the combination works surprisingly well together. The Xenomorph’s misshapen skull blends naturally with Marge’s aggressively-vertical blue hair. Even the bugged-out eyes, which borrow from The Simpsons animation style, works well with an Alien-like sci-fi distortion.

The cosplay begs the question if an Alien reference could work its way into an episode of The Simpsons? The show has the perfect avenue to do so, as the creators have been making annual “Treehouse of Horror” episodes during the Halloween season. These “Treehouse of Horror” specials go into spooky territory, and often pay homage to classic genre films like Frankenstein, The Silence of the Lambs, and 2001: A Space Odyssey.

The Simpsons parodied Alien in the episode “Sweet Seymour Skinner’s Baadasssss Song” where Groundkeeper Willie has to track down the dog, Santa’s Little Helper.

The Simpsons season 35 has already aired their “Treehouse of Horror” special, which included references to Snowpierecer, Se7en, The Silence of the Lambs, and Outbreak. With these choices, The Simpsons has shown that they are willing to broaden their cinematic influences to more than just highly-identifiable classics. Even if they wanted to go with highly-noticeable references, Alien is certainly classic enough at this point to be perceived by most audiences. As The Simpsons continues into season 36, perhaps an Alien crossover episode could just appear down the line.
