Marvel Fans React to Thrilling Two-Part Finale

Nov 2, 2024

Spoilers ahead for the two-part season finale of Agatha All Along

After a stellar season, Agatha, Billy, and Jen reached the end of the Witches’ Road in the thrilling finale of Agatha All Along. Following weeks of trials and tribulations, including losing half of their coven, the remaining trio faced the final task, desperate to get what they were searching for. Jen successfully regained her powers after learning she was bound a century ago by Agatha herself. However, things remained complicated for Agatha and Billy, reaching a fever pitch during a battle with Aubrey Plaza’s Rio Vidal that cost Agatha her life, rendering her to a ghostly existence.

The series concludes with Billy, who has Agatha’s ghost in tow, leaving on a search for a reincarnated Tommy. Throughout the season, fans on social media couldn’t help but express their adoration and excitement for the series, and the two-part finale proved no different. Legions of fans took to X, tweeting about the jaw-dropping events of the final moments of Agatha All Along. One viewer was thrilled with the way Billy and Agatha worked together to bring back his brother, tweeting, “Billy resurrecting his brother Tommy through Agatha’s guidance was PEAK!!! I loved how this showcases his raw power as a sorcerer.” Another viewer couldn’t help by celebrate the ingenuity and creativity of the ending, and their reaction can be seen below:

Agatha All Along Delivered a Satisfying Ending for Every Character

Not only did Billy and Agatha have satisfying endings to this chapter of their story, but the supporting characters of the series also had defining moments at the end. After getting her powers back, Jen is seen beneath the ground of the Witches’ Road and flying into the distance with her restored abilities. Fans couldn’t get enough of Sasheer Zamata’s stellar performance, with one X user writing, “Sasheer Zamata portrayal of Jennifer has been nothing short of breathtaking. I know this scene wasn’t about white feminism but seeing a Black Witch take her power back from a White Witch who carelessly ruin her life felt incredibly powerful.”

After succumbing to Agatha’s powers earlier in the season, Alice’s story was also wrapped up and given a definitive ending. Following the reveal that Rio is death, she visited Alice, who was confused about why she died. However, Rio asserted to her that she is a protection witch, and that she died protecting someone. Fans loved that, even in death, Alice had a satisfying conclusion. An example of this can be seen below:

“Without Billy, Alice would still be cursed living a miserable life. She died free however briefly but true as a protection witch. Blessed be Alice Wu-Gulliver.”

Starring Kathryn Hahn as the titular Marvel witch, Agatha All Along reveals how Scarlet Witch’s enemy broke Wanda Maximoff’s binding spell at the end of WandaVision. Aubrey Plaza, Joe Locke, Emma Caulfield, and Ali Ahn join Hahn in the MCU Phase 5 spinoff series, released on Disney+.
