Marvel Releases “Hurt” Trailer for ECHO and It Features More Daredevil and Kingpin Footage — GeekTyrant
Feb 6, 2024
Marvel Studios has released a new trailer for Echo titled “Hurt,” and it offers a fresh look at the series while using footage from Netflix’s Daredevil series. Charlie Cox’s Daredevil does appear in the series, and we’ve already seen footage teasing a crazy fight with him and Maya Lopez (Alaqua Cox). This trailer leans heavily into Kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio), though. The series centers on Maya Lopez as she “struggles to reconnect with her Native American roots while balancing aspirations tied to a life of crime as successor to the brutal legacy of Wilson Fisk aka Kingpin. In the first episode, we are introduced to Maya Lopez and her struggles.”When previously talking about the series, Echo director and executive producer Sydney Freeland said: “I will say very large. Yeah. It’s one of the core relationships in the entire series, the relationship between Kingpin and Maya. And we’ll come to sort of find out that he becomes a kind of surrogate father to her. It’s one of the core relationships in the entire series, I’ll say that much.”Echo is developed by Etan Cohen and Emily Cohen, who are writers and executive producers on the show. The series also stars Zahn McClarnon, Chaske Spencer, Tantoo Cardinal, Cody Lightning, Devery Jacobs, and Graham Greene. All five episodes will drop on Disney+ and Hulu on April 9th, 2024.
