MARVEL ZOMBIES Series Will Reportedly Give The Undead Scarlet Witch a New Name — GeekTyrant

Marvel Studios has been deep in development on the Marvel Zombies animated series, and a new rumor suggests that the undead Scarlet Witch will be at the center of the story. The report comes from Scarlet Witch Updates, who says that the zombie version of Scarlet Witch has a new moniker and will be known as The Dead Queen. We don’t have any information on the story to reveal, but judging by the new name she could end up being the new leader of the zombie legions who have devastated Earth and its mightiest heroes. All we know about the series so far is that it takes place in an alternate reality and reimagines the Marvel Universe as a new generation of heroes battling against an ever-spreading zombie scourge. The Marvels star Iman Vellani has confirmed that she will be reprising her role as Kamala Khan, aka Ms. Marvel, in the series, and her character will be at the heart of the show. Vellani said: “We’ve done the whole thing. It was amazing. It was so much fun. And I love—there are a lot of cool characters in the Marvel Zombies show. And Kamala is kind of the center of the show.”Vellani also referenced The Lord of the Rings while talking about the series to explain Kamala’s role, saying, “They described it to me, it’s like, ‘She’s basically the Frodo of the story.’ And I was like, ‘That’s amazing.’”The actress then teased the ensemble cast of characters, saying: “And I get to interact and meet all these people along her journey. And, yes, they’re only the voices, and I don’t get to hear their voices in real time. But just, it’s my fantasies, right? Like, knowing Kamala is going to interact with some really cool people, even if it’s just animation, is so special in a lot of ways.”Marvel Zombies doesn’t have a confirmed premiere date, but it’s expected to debut later this year.
