Marvel’s Agatha Spinoff & Ironheart Series Get Premiere Dates

May 20, 2024

Summary

Agatha Harkness gets her own spin-off in ”
Agatha All Along
” premiering on Disney+ in September.

Ironheart
, introduced in
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever
, will have her own series released in 2025.
Both shows were announced at Disney’s Upfronts presentation, promising deeper dives into the characters’ stories and development.

After much anticipation, the Agatha Harkness (Kathryn Hahn) spin-off show, now officially titled Agatha All Along, and the Disney+ series Ironheart have been given official release windows. Agatha Harkness first debuted in the debut Disney+ MCU series WandaVision, and was quickly given her own series following the character’s immense popularity – thanks in large part to Hahn’s charismatic performance. Ironheart, made her first appearance in Ryan Coogler’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and was also quickly greenlit for a standalone series. However, both characters have been off our screens since their debuts, with many fans desperate to see them return in their respective shows.

Both shows were given official release dates during Disney’s Upfronts presentations. Agatha Harkness’ series was announced first. The presentation screen first began flashing through all the prior titles for the show, revealing them all to be trickery and witchcraft (with a few comedic titles included, like ‘Agatha: The Lying Witch With the Great Wardrobe’) before settling on Agatha All Along – a reference to the irritatingly catchy song which revealed the character’s villainous side in WandaVision. Underneath the final title, Marvel Studios revealed the series will premiere on September 18, 2024.

Up next was Ironheart, starring Dominique Thorne in the titular role. While Ironheart wasn’t given a precise release date, instead, Marvel Studios confirmed it would be released in 2025. They also revealed the new, official logo for the series (which you can view below).

Speaking to Deadline at the Upfronts presentation, Dominique Thorne said her series will offer audiences a “deeper dive” into the character that had a minor role in Coogler’s Wakanda Forever. Thorne said:

“I think what I can say is that it definitely is offering folks a deeper dive into this character that I gather might have maybe piqued some interest [in Wakanda Forever]. I think maybe she raised a couple questions, and lots of those could be answered in the show.”
