Matthew McConaughey, Don Cheadle, Johnny Knoxville & More Star In Netflix’s Ridiculous Animated Series
Mar 1, 2023
Right now, we’re on the verge of seeing if the recently released “Elvis” film will take home any Oscars gold. Then later this year, we’re expecting Sofia Coppola’s “Priscilla” to give us a different perspective on the King of Rock and Roll. But sandwiched in between those two prestige projects is the ridiculous, over-the-top animated series, “Agent Elvis.”

As seen in the trailer for “Agent Elvis,” the animated series follows Elvis Presley (Matthew McConaughey) as he gets recruited to be an international spy and do all sorts of killing. Even if that sounds ludicrous on paper, watching the actual trailer will show you that the filmmakers behind the series are going full-tilt bonkers for this show.
Joining McConaughey in the voice cast are Kaitlin Olson, Johnny Knoxville, Niecy Nash, Tom Kenny, and Don Cheadle. Much like you’d expect with a show like this, there are plenty of guest stars, as well, including Ed Helms, Jason Mantzoukas, Christina Hendricks, Kieran Culkin, Chris Elliot, Asif Ali, Fred Armisen, Ego Nwodim, Simon Pegg, Craig Robinson, Gary Cole, George Clinton, Tara Strong, Tony Cavalero, and Priscilla Presley.
“Agent Elvis” debuts on March 17 on Netflix. You can watch the trailer below.
Here’s the synopsis:
Elvis Presley trades in his jumpsuit for a jet pack when he is covertly inducted into a secret government spy program to battle the dark forces that threaten the country he loves – all while holding down his day job as the King Of Rock And Roll.
