Adapted from Child’s One Shot, Cruise’s Jack Reacher follows the titular ex-Army investigator as he takes up the case of helping the defense attorney of a military sniper charged with killing five people in town in a random attack. However, the more Reacher looks into the case, the more complicated it appears. The movie was a major hit back in the day, earning over $200 million worldwide, on a $60 million budget. The film was loved for its portrayal of the fan-favorite hero, the plot, and amazing action set pieces. The movie was well received by the critics and the audiences, who respectively gave it 64% and 67% Rotten Tomatoes rating.
