Netflix’s ‘Dahmer’ Follow-Up Debuts In September

After the massive success of “Dahmer,” Netflix has high hopes for the next series in Ryan Murphy’s “Monster” anthology. We’ll just have to wait and see if “Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story” can reach the same heights as its predecessor.

As seen in the short teaser for the series, “Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story” tells the story of Lyle and Erik Menendez, two brothers who murdered their parents. The story reached national news during the trial, as the brothers claimed that abuse led to the crime.
The ensemble cast includes Javier Bardem, Chloë Sevigny, Nicholas Alexander Chavez, Cooper Koch, Nathan Lane, Ari Graynor, Leslie Grossman, Dallas Roberts, Paul Adelstein, Jason Butler Harner, Enrique Murciano, Michael Gladis, Drew Powell, Charlie Hall, Gil Ozeri, Jeff Perry, Tessa Auberjonois, Tanner Stine, Larry Clarke, Jade Pettyjohn, and Marlene Forte. ‘Monsters’ is directed by Ian Brennan, Max Winkler, Paris Barclay, Michael Uppendahl, and Carl Franklin.
“Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story” debuts on Netflix on September 19. You can watch the new teaser below.

Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story follows Lyle and Erik Menendez, two brothers who fatally shot their parents in their Beverly Hills home in 1989. During their trials, the brothers cited years of abuse as the reason for murdering their parents. However, prosecutors argued that their motive was to get their hands on the family fortune.
