New Period Crime Series From J.J. Abrams Hits Max On May 15

Need a new crime series to binge this Spring? Well, Max and J.J. Abrams may have you covered there, as “Duster” is set to hit the streamer in two months.

Set in the 1970s American Southwest, “Duster” follows a gutsy getaway driver whose dangerous lifestyle gets even more risky when an agent arrives to take down the local crime family.
Here’s an official synopsis for “Duster,” courtesy of HBO:
Set in the 1970s Southwest, DUSTER explores the life of a gutsy getaway driver for a growing crime syndicate that goes from dangerous to wildly, stupidly dangerous when a tenacious young agent comes into town hellbent on taking his crime family down.
“Duster” stars Josh Holloway, Rachel Hilson, Keith David, Sydney Elisabeth, Greg Grunberg, and Camile Guaty. Asivak Koostachin, Adriana Aluna Martinez, and Benjamin Charles Watson round out the main cast.
LaToya Morgan serves as showrunner on “Duster,” and pens the first two episodes with J.J. Abrams.  Steph Green directs the first two episodes of “Duster,” an executive produces the series with Abrams and Rachel Rusch Rich via Bad Robot. Morgan also executive produces via TinkerToy Productions. “Duster” is produced in association with Warner Bros. Television.
