Centered on Queen Charlotte’s rise to prominence and power, this Bridgerton-verse prequel tells the story of how the young Queen’s marriage to King George sparked both a great love story and a societal shift, creating the world of the Ton inherited by the characters in Bridgerton.
Golda Rosheuvel leads the series’ ensemble cast as Queen Charlotte. Other cast members include Adjoa Andoh as Lady Agatha Danbury, Ruth Gemmell as Lady Violet Bridgerton, who both reprise their roles from Bridgerton in the series.  India Amarteifio, Michelle Fairley, Corey Mylchreest, and Arsema Thomas also star.  Sam Clemmett, Freddie Dennis, Richard Cunningham, Tunji Kasim, Rob Maloney, Cyril Nri, and Hugh Sachs round out the main cast.
Tom Verica directs the pilot episode of “Queen Charlotte,” while Rhimes shares writing duties with Nicolas Nardini.
