Hagrid in the original films acted as a key exposition dump character and sort of a guide for the youngsters alongside being well educated about all the various fantastical creatures that inhabit the world of “Harry Potter.”
If you weren’t aware, “Harry Potter” focuses on a magical world of wizards hidden from regular humans (referred to as Muggles) and there are a handful of wizarding schools with Hogwarts being the main location of various events as the students try to get educated by seasoned and powerful wizards in ways of magic spells via wands and incantanctions before Lord Voldemort makes a grand return as there is plenty of danger looming for Potter and his classmates.
Previously, veteran actor John Lithgow (“Conclave”) confirmed reports that he was cast as the new version of Professor Albus Dumbledore, with Janet McTeer (“MobLand”) in talks to play Professor Minerva McGonagall, and Paapa Essiedu is close to landing the part of Professor Severus Snape (a double agent of sorts at Hogwarts, that ultimately operates as a protector of Harry).
