“Bupkis” is one of 2023’s most highly-anticipated television series, marking Joe Pesci’s first time starring in a television series for the first time in 37 years. Pesci retired from acting a year after the release of 1998’s “Lethal Weapon 4” and enjoyed many years away from the camera. Aside from Davidson and Pesci, the upcoming comedy television series will also star Edie Falco, Charlie Day, Brad Garrett, Simon Rex, Ray Romano, Kenan Thompson, and Chase Sui Wonders.
Peacock also recently announced a bevy of all-star guests that will appear on the show, including La La Anthony. Charlamagne Tha God, Colson Baker (Machine Gun Kelly), Steve Buscemi. Bobby Cannavale, Philip Ettinger, Al Gore, Paul Walter Hauser, Sunita Mani, John Mulaney, Oona Roche, Cliff “Method Man” Smith, Jon Stewart, and Marissa Jaret Winokur.
The show, which will chronicle a fictionalized version of Davidson’s life, was created by Judah Miller, with episodes written by Davidson and Dave Sirus and directed by Jason Orley. Here is the plot synopsis:

“BUPKIS, a half-hour live action comedy, is a heightened, fictionalized version of Pete Davidson’s real life. The series will combine grounded storytelling with absurd elements from the unfiltered and completely original worldview for which Pete is well known.”
