Compared to the extensive lineup of films hitting our screens in November, the television offerings seem somewhat slighter. That said, there are plenty of worthwhile new and returning series that will help ease us into the binge-heavy months of the year. Apple TV+ sees the return of two popular series, and HBO has a significant release with its “Dune” spinoff series.

Elsewhere, there are plenty of series with A-List talent attached, from Michael Fassbender to Colman Domingo. From adaptations of popular books to podcasts and a 1999 cult favorite film, there’s an eclectic group of projects premiering this month as we continue to try and catch up on all the series we’re already behind on. “The Day Of The Jackal”
Eddie Redmayne returns to television in this Frederick Forsyth adaptation, “The Day Of The Jackal.” Directed by Brian Kirk (“Game of Thrones”), the series reimagines the novel in a contemporary political setting and follows a British assassin known as the Jackal and an intelligence officer looking to capture him. Lashana Lynch, Úrsula Corberó, Charles Dance, Richard Dormer, and more star. 
Premiere Date: November 7 on Peacock. 

“Yellowstone”
Following the big blowout between Kevin Costner and creator/showrunner/writer Taylor Sheridan, “Yellowstone” season five, part two was supposed to be the end of the series, and a spinoff would come instead. But that plan has been squashed, and “Yellowstone” will remain on the air—just down one major star in Kevin Costner, who is not part of this second-part season. How does the show move on without him? Well, we’re likely going to find out in the first episode—Paramount is not screening any of it early for press— and so that likely means the rest of the cast Luke Grimes, Kelly Reilly, Wes Bentley, Cole Hauser, Kelsey Asbille, and more soldier on between him. What’s interesting is that Gil Birmingham from previous seasons definitely looks like he is stepping up for a major role this season.
Premiere Date: November 10 on Paramount Network.

“Bad Sisters”
The Emmy-nominated, dark-comedy “Bad Sisters” returns for its second season on Apple TV+. The Garvey sisters are back as they face new challenges and old secrets two years after the “accidental death” of Grace’s abusive husband. Sharon Horgan, Anne-Marie Duff, Eve Hewson, Eva Birthistle, Sarah Green, Claes Bang, and Brian Gleeson all return. 
Premiere Date: November 13 on Apple TV+.
