Quantumania Clip Reveals That Kang Has Killed The Avengers Before

Apr 27, 2023

The latest look at Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania reveals the overwhelming danger that new MCU big bad Kang the Conqueror poses. Shared to social media by Twitter user Cryptic HD QUALITY, the clip finds Scott Lang coming face-to-face with Kang, who reveals that he has killed The Avengers many times before across time and the multiverse.

While Scott attempts to bat Kang’s threats away with his usual quips, Kang’s intimidation is unmatched as he reveals that he has killed several Avengers variants before, including the strongest Avenger, Thor. Make no mistake, Kang the Conqueror is here to live up to his name.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania finds superhero partners Scott Lang and Hope Van Dyne returning to continue their adventures as Ant-Man and the Wasp. Together with Hope’s parents Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne, the family finds themselves exploring the Quantum Realm, interacting with strange new creatures, and embarking on an adventure that will push them beyond the limits of what they thought was possible.

First Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania Reactions Compare the MCU Outing to Star Wars

Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures

The first reactions to Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania have now emerged following the movie’s premiere in Los Angeles, with many comparing the Marvel epic to Star Wars. “PHASE 5 HAS BEGUN! The new #AntMan movie is like a psychedelic rollercoaster full of frightening & hilarious oddities, plus one VERY menacing Kang. Big STAR WARS vibes meet the MCU at its freakiest & most inventive,” says one reaction. “MODOK is a riot, but Jonathan Majors conquers. Loved the ride!”

The comparisons to a galaxy far, far away continue, with one critic saying, “So #AntManAndTheWaspQuantumania is indeed Ant-Man doing Star Wars on acid. A little creaky at the start, it turns into a nutty, utterly fun (inner) space opera. It’s easy to see why Jonathan Majors was the choice for the new big bad. Kang is ferocious.”

Another early reaction adds, “Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania is like Marvel meets Star Wars — & I am here for it! Kang is absolutely terrifying. MODOK brings all the ridiculous humor. Janet & Kang are perfect! Heartwarming father-daughter story! 2 IMPORTANT end credits!”

Much of the praise has been directed at Jonathan Majors as Kang, with one reaction declaring, “Jonathan Majors is a force in #AntManAndTheWaspQuantumania. He’s compelling, chilling, and already giving a top notch performance. I love the complexity he brings to Kang with literally a single look. MCU really won with this casting.”

Directed by Peyton Reed from a screenplay by Jeff Loveness, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania stars Paul Rudd as Scott Lang, aka Ant-Man, Evangeline Lilly as Hope van Dyne, aka Wasp, Michael Douglas as Hank Pym, Michelle Pfeiffer as Janet van Dyne, and Kathryn Newton as Cassie Lang, as well as David Dastmalchian, William Jackson Harper, Katy O’Brian, Bill Murray, Randall Park, and Corey Stoll.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is scheduled to be released on February 17, 2023, as the first film of Phase Five of the MCU.
