Aug 7, 2023

Raven-Symoné recently claimed that she has an unexpected connected to her popular Disney character Raven from That’s So Raven and Raven’s Home. During a chat on the most recent episode of iHeartMedia’s The Best Podcast Ever with Raven and Miranda, the Dr. Dolittle actor alleged that she had the ability to “tap into energy fields” to see psychic visions.

In That’s So Raven, The Cheetah Girls star played the title character Raven Baxter, a girl who had visions of the future. The sitcom followed Raven as she navigated life and its adventures with her best friends Chelsea (played by Anneliese van der Pol) and Eddie (played by Orlando Brown). The popular show even got a spin-off, Cory in the House which starred Raven’s little brother Cory Baxter (played by Kyle Massey).

The actor’s follow-up series Raven’s Home (which first aired in 2017) saw the iconic Disney Channel character return as a now divorced mom of two. In the new sitcom series Raven still possess the ability to see into the future and her son, Booker (played by Issac Ryan Brown) has inherited his mom’s special ability. The new show is currently on its sixth season.

The star’s remarks about her own psychic skills on the podcast came during a game of Spin the Wheel. The Revenge of the Bridesmaids star said, “I believe in psychics, puns f—ing intended.”

She went on to say, “I truly believe. I believe actually humans have the ability in their brains to tap into energy fields that allow for truth to connect when you know how to translate it correctly. I can walk into a room and it’s reading energy and energy in the psychic plane, because it’s not on a physical, material plane.”

Raven-Symoné then explained that she’s possess this ability long before she first began playing her character on That’s So Raven (which first aired in 2003 and wrapped up in 2007). Still, the College Road Trip star noted that unlike her character, she can’t actually see into the future.

The Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century actor said, “I do have moments when I really will just stare and I will see a scene that is happening to me or that is going to happen to me in another dimension and I’m like, ‘Yo, this is weird.’ There will be a time when I’m walking and I’ll trip over nothing.”

Still, regardless, of her experiences The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement star stated that she won’t just blindly trust any person that claims to have psychic abilities.

Raven-Symoné said, “Now if you sit me down and somebody’s like, ‘Look into my crystal ball,’ I’m gonna be like, ‘Give me my money back.’ But I do believe there is natural auras that hold the experiences of all of our people, totally.”
