Rosalia Joines Zendaya & Jacob Elordi For Season 3 But Who’s Not Coming Back?

Feb 14, 2025

Yes, it’s happening. The long-awaited third season of “Euphoria” has begun filming in Los Angeles. Almost three years since the season two finale aired, Sam Levinson is once again behind the director’s chair as one of HBO’s most popular series mercifully wraps up. The good news for fans is the big guns are all back. Despite developing substantial movie careers, “Dune” franchise star Zendaya, “Saltburn” breakout Jacob Elordi, and “Madame Web” survivor Sydney Sweeney will return as series regulars. So will “Cuckoo” star Hunter Schafer, now two-time Oscar-nominated Colman Domingo (in a guest star capacity), Eric Dane, Alexa Demie, and Maude Apatow. The more intriguing news is who is joining the cast.
READ MORE: Netflix and Shawn Levy are teaming up for a new “Dungeons & Dragons” series because everyone is convinced they can make it a hitWith the program reportedly taking a four-year time jump, pop star Rosalía, Super Bowl champion turned actor Marshawn Lynch, and “A Different World” legend Kadeem Hardison are landing major new roles. Additional new cast members and/or guest stars include Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Toby Wallace, Darrell Britt-Gibson (She Taught Love), Priscilla Delgado, James Landry Hébert, and Anna Van Patten.
And then there are the cast members not returning.
Tragically, Angus Cloud passed away on July 31, 2023. Storm Reid, who played Zendaya’s sister, is not returning reportedly due to scheduling conflicts. Reid, who is about to graduate from USC, made this revelation herself noting, “schedules just can’t align sometimes.” In 2022, Barbie Ferreira became one of the first cast members to publicly criticize the show and Levinson saying she wouldn’t return after “creative differences” following a minor storyline in season two. The actor who played Ferreira’s boyfriend, Austin Abrams, will also not be back. Also not returning are Algee Smith, and Nika King, who played Zendaya and Reid’s onscreen mother.
It is unclear if Dominic Fike will return.
One of the most popular series in HBO history, “Euphoria” has won nine Emmy Awards and received 25 nominations overall.
“Euphoria” season three is expected to debut on HBO and MAX in 2026.
