Ryan Reynolds Shares Leaked Images From Deadpool 3, Spoils Some Surprising Cameos

Dec 17, 2023

Summary

Ryan Reynolds shares “new” leaked images from the set of Deadpool 3, including cameos from Predator and Mickey Mouse. Several images from the filming of Deadpool 3 have already been leaked, revealing an important setting and returning Marvel characters. Ryan Reynolds asks websites and social channels to hold back on sharing more images to preserve audience joy and maintain the surprises of the finished film.

Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds once again displays his particular brand of humor as he takes to social media to share “new” leaked images from the set of the upcoming MCU sequel, Deadpool 3. Reynolds recently asked media outlets and fans not to share any more images from the filming of the Marvel movie in order to maintain the surprises (and MovieWeb will happily oblige…apart from with these images shared by Reynolds himself), instead taking to social media to share his own cameo and backstage leaks. Which include the likes of Predator, Mickey Mouse, and moneybags. Check out the images shared by Reynolds below:

Over the past few months, several images from the filming of Deadpool 3 have found their way online. While many of the crowd-pleasing cameos and various other surprises are no doubt still intact, the images have likely revealed an important setting from the movie, as well as a few Marvel characters that will return for Deadpool’s introduction into the MCU.

Yesterday, Reynolds made a statement asking for “websites and social channels” to “hold back” on sharing any more images that might appear.

“Surprises are part of the magic of theatrical movies. It’s important for us to shoot the new DEADPOOL film in real, natural environments, using practical effects as opposed to making the movie indoors and digitally. Telephoto lenses continue to spoil surprises and create a difficult situation for everyone.
Here’s hoping some of the websites and social channels hold back showing images before they’re ready. The film is built for audience joy – and our highest hope is to preserve as much of that magic as possible for the finished film and the big screen. Part of the reason people post spoilers is because they’re excited. I realize these aren’t real world issues and it’s firmly in the “good problems” bucket. I love making this movie.”

What We Do Know About Deadpool 3

What we do officially know about Deadpool 3 is that X-Men and Logan star Hugh Jackman will return as Wolverine. Something that Ryan Reynolds has been working hard to make happen for quite some time. One of the few images officially released from Deadpool 3 so far shows the pair walking together, with Jackman finally sporting a more comic-accurate yellow suit.

We also know that Dogpool will be making an appearance in the movie, with an official image of Wade Wilson with the beloved pooch having also been released recently.

Directed by Shawn Levy and written by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, Deadpool 3 is set to star Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool and Hugh Jackman as Wolverine alongside Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Karan Soni as Dopinder, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Shioli Kutsuna as Yukio, and Stefan Kapičić as Colossus.

Deadpool 3 is scheduled to be released in the United States on July 26, 2024, as part of Phase Five of the MCU.
