‘Saltburn,’ ‘Poor Things,’ ‘Succession’ Top 2024 ADG Awards

While the Director’s Guild was celebrating the best in filmmaking on one end of town, the Art Director’s Guild of America was handing out their own 2024 honors. Shocked by her win, Ruth De Jong took the Period Feature Film honor for “Oppenheimer.” The Contemporary Feature Film honor went to Suzie Davies for “Saltburn.” James Price and Shona Heath won the most competitive award, Fantasy Film, or “Poor Things.”

One Hour Period Single Camera Series went to Francesca di Mottola for “The Great” in its final season. One Hour Contemporary Single Camera Series went to Stephen Carter for, also in its final season, “Succession.” Another HBO series took the Fantasy One-Hour Series as John Paino won for “The Last of Us.” In a major upset, Brandon Tonner-Connolly took the award for Half-Hour Comedy Series for “Reservation Dogs.” Grace Yun took the Television Movie and Limited Series ADG Award for “BEEF.”
Brian Stonestreet and the 80th Golden Globes took the Variety Special Award and Mathieu Weekes and Benjamin Norman won Variety or Reality Series for “Squid Game: The Challenge.”
The Animated Feature Film Award went to Patrick O’Keefe for “Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse.”
Ethan Tobman won the Short Form and Music Video category for Taylor Swift’s “I Can See You.”
