Sarah Jessica Parker Shares And Just Like That… Filming Update
May 1, 2023
And Just Like That… could soon return to HBO’s screen. The Sex and the City sequel series premiered on the network back in 2021, bringing back the gang led by Sarah Jessica Parker 11 years after the last movie was released. And it seems that we might get to see them together pretty soon.
Thanks to its first-season success, And Just Like That… was rapidly picked up for a second batch of episodes, but no release date was given for them. Now, thanks to Sarah Jessica Parker herself, fans know can expect the new episodes in the next couple of months since the actress announced on her Instagram that filming has wrapped:

“Wrap parties=kissing. But not goodbye. Nikki Parker you ALWAYS smell so good. And Just Like That… a season of love. Crew, cast you were ALL heavenly.”
With this new information, the audience can expect the show’s return for this same year, especially now that HBO and the new streaming service Max are looking to explore most of their popular franchises, and there’s no doubt Sex and the City is one of them.

Plot details about the upcoming season of the series are kept under wraps, and as the first had a very closed conclusion, it is safe to say that we’ll have to wait until the new episodes are out to see what the girls will be up to now.
When it comes to the cast, the returns of Sarah Jessica Parker as Carrie Bradshaw, Cynthia Nixon as Miranda Hobbes, and Kristin Davis as Charlotte York Goldenblatt are assured. Joining them will probably be Mario Cantone as Anthony Marentinom, David Eigenberg as Steve Brady, Evan Handler as Harry Goldenblatt, Sara Ramirez as Che Díaz, and Sarita Choudhury as Seema Patel.
John Corbett, who played the friendly furniture maker Aidan Shaw in the original series, will have a recurring role and a multi-episode arc. Additionally, television icon Tony Danza joins the cast to play the father of Che Díaz.
Even to this day, knowing the details behind former show star Kim Cattrall’s war with the crew and the rest of the cast, fans remain hopeful for her return, especially since in the finale of the first installment, Carrie sends a message to Samantha, revealing that she is working in London.
However, the chances of her return have been entirely dismissed by the team behind And Just Like That… and it would be very difficult to see her in the series.
